Naujienas pradėkime nuo Glenallachie distilerijos, kuri mums rodo leidinius „finišuotus” skirtingose statinėse. Pradedam:

  • Glenallachie 8YO Koval Rye – Didžiąją laiko dalį buvo brandintas Amerikiniame ąžuole, o užbaigimas atliktas mažose (quarter) statinėse, kuriose prieš tai brendo Koval ruginis viskis. Nefiltruotas, nedažytas, 48%
  • Glenallachie 10YO Port – Pirmiausia brandintas Amerikiniame ąžuole, o užbaigimas atliktas Porto statinėse (pipes). Nefiltruotas, nedažytas, 48%
  • Glenallachie 12 PX – Pirmus 10 metų praleido Amerikiniame ąžuole, o likusius 2 metus Pedro Ximenez chereso statinėse. Nefiltruotas, nedažytas, 48%

Chivas Brothers kompanija pristato mums visą pluoštą naujienų, kurių net 15, taip, teisingai, penkiolika skirtingų viskių. Šią liniją sudaro šeši skirtingi Caperdonich viskiai. Trys rūkyti ir trys nerūkyti. Beje distilerija nuo 2002 metų yra uždaryta. Toliau seka trys Braeval distilerijos viskiai. Pati distilerija nėra labai žinoma plačiąjai visuomenei. Tada trys Glen Keith distilerijos viskiai. Distilerija 1999 metais buvo uždaryta, o 2013 metų vidury atnaujino savo darbą. Dar viena kompanija (Diageo) ir nauji keturi viskiai. Visi brandinti 12 metų, kiekvienas iš jų yra dedikuotas skirtingam Škotijos regionui – Aila, Aukštumos, Speyside, Žemumos. Ailos, Aukštumų ir Speyside kompozicijos kurtos pasitelkiant tik salyklinius viskius, o Žemumų kompozicijai panaudotas Single Grain viskis iš Cameronbridge. Ant pakuočių yra išskirti „lyderiaujantis” viskiai pagal regiona – Caol Ila, Clynelish, Cardhu, Glenkinchie.
Ailos leidiniui naudotos tik pakartotinio pildymo statinės (refill). Aukštumų kompozicija kurta iš ex-Europietiško ąžuolo ir ex-chereso statinių. Žemumų maišyto viskio kompozicija sukurta iš ex-burbono statinių, o Speyside iš pakartotinio pildymo (refill) ir pirmo pildymo burbono statinių.
Visi leidiniai išpilstyti į vieno litro butelius, o stiprumas siekia 42%. Kaina 40 eurų. Ketvertukas bus išleistas iki 2020 metų.

Ir paskutinė naujiena šiandien, Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 6. Šiuo metu nėra daug žinoma apie šį viskį, kadangi, tai yra dar nepatvirtintas leidinys iš Balvenie. O visgi, ką mes žinom…50.4% stiprumo (greičiausiai neskiestas), 6 leidinys iš Tun serijos ir kad parinktos statinės buvo „suženytos” vienoje Tun statinėje.
Tun statinė – tai yra didžiausia ąžuolinė statinė, kurią naudoja viskio distilerijos. Šią statinę viskininkai naudoja viskio „suženyjimui”, o tradiciškai skirta alaus fermentacijai. Dydis varijuoja nuo 850 litrų ir gali siekti daugiau nei 1000 litrų.
