Distilerija iš aukštumų, Tomatin, traukia į dienos šviesą naują viskį, Tomatin Decades II. Kaip matome iš pavadinimo, tai jau bus antras leidimas iš Decades serijos. Kaip pirmasis, taip ir šis leidimas yra kurtas panaudojant statines iš penkių skirtingų dešimtmečių. Taigi, lendam į kompoziciją. Viso 21 statinė. Pakartotinio pildymo burbono statinės iš 1973/1975/1977 metų, tada pirmo pildymo oloroso chereso bačkos iš 1988 metų. Iš 1995 metų imtos pirmo pildymo burbono, o iš 2000/2009 metų skrudintos Verdejo vyno statinės. Ir jauniausios statinės iš 2013 metų, antro pildymo prancūziško ąžuolo bačkos. Tiražas 3600 butelių, 46% stiprumas. Kaina apie 180 eurų.
Taigi, kaip matome kompoziciją sudaro įvairios statinės iš įvairių metų. Pirma mintis: jei bus geras balansas, manau bus hitas. Gaila, bet neteko ragauti pirmo leidimo iš Decades serijos.

Glen Scotia 45YO, tai seniausias išleistas šios distilerijos viskis iki šiol. Distiliuotas dar 1973 metais ir supilstytas į pakartotinio pildymo burbono statinę (refill bourbon). 2011 metais viskis buvo perpiltas (re-racked) į pirmo pildymo burbono statinę ir po aštuonių metų buvo supilstytas į 150 butelių. Šis senolis nefiltruotas ir nedažytas.
Maloni smulkmena: jei norite įsigyti šį salyklinį viskį teks kloti 3800 eurų ant prekystalio. Kodėl ne? Žinot, kaip sakoma: gyvenam tik kartą, nors hinduistai su tuo nesutiktų.

Ir pabaigai keletas šiuo metų nepatvirtintų naujienų. Pradėkime nuo Glenlivet distilerijos. Apie Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve nėra daug žinoma. Dalis šio viskio statinių buvo užbaigtos brandintis Karibų jūros baseino romo statinėse. Išpilstytas klasikiniu stiprumu.

Ir antroji nepatvirtinta naujiena atkeliauja iš pietų Ailos, Ardbeg Blaaack. Kaip matom iš etiketės, tai bus 2020 metų Committee leidinys. Ką dar žinom? Viskis brandintas Pinot Noir vyno statinėse, kurios buvo gautos iš Naujosios Zelandijos vyninių. Išpilstytas 50.7% stiprumu ir yra nefiltruotas.
