Laba. Dar vienas savaitgalis ir dar viena porcija naujienų. Tradiciškai, keletas oficialiai išleistų viskių ir pabaigai „tik popieriuje” egzistuojantys. Taigi, kas pas mus šiandien svečiuose?

Labai gerai žinoma aukštumų distilerija mums pristato 1996 vintažinį viskį, Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1996. Brandintas 23 metus ir yra išpilstytas 43% stiprumu. Brandintas išskirtinai įvairaus pildymo burbono statinėse. Kaina siekia 700 eurų.
Tikiu, kad tai gardus viskis. Tikiu, kad viskis skirtas labiau kolekcininkams. Na, bet ragauti 43% su 700 eurų kaina… Kita vertus dauguma šių vintažų turi tokį išpilstymo stiprumą ir jie laikosi šios tradicijos.

Kompanija Douglas Laing mums rodo naują labai limituoto tiražo maišytų salyklų viskį, Scallywag Chocolate Edition Vintage 2009. Tai įvairių Speyside salyklinių viskių kompozicija. Ji buvo brandinta 11 metų chereso statinėse. Išpilstytas 48% stiprumu. Tiražas 500 butelių. Nefiltruotas ir nedažytas. Kaina apie 50 eurų.
Tikiuosi jie iš tiesų pasirūpino, kad viskis bent kvepėtų šokolado natomis. O jei dar ir skonyje yra šio gėrio… Tai tokiu atveju gali būti labai šaunus viskiokas.

Kompanija Elixir Distillers mums rodo labai įdomų Ailos viskį Islay Violets 33YO. Kaip jau supratote viskis brandintas viso 33 metus amerikinio ąžuolo ir konjako statinėse. Gaila, bet paskutinio brandinimo etapo trukmė konjako statinėse nėra nurodyta. Belieka tik spėlioti. Išpilstytas 46.2% stiprumu. Kaina siekia apie 430 eurų.
Tad kokia čia distilerija iš Ailos salos galėtų slėptis? Vienareikšmiškai statyčiau, kad tai Bowmore iš ’80. Viskio aprašyme sutinkam tokius žodžius, kaip „Violets”, „Jasmin”, „Flowery”. Tad…

Pirmieji Waterford salykliniai viskiai išties turėjo didžiulį pasisekimą. Taigi, kad žmonės per daug nenuobodžiautų, distilerija išleidžia dar 4 naujus kūrinius. Pasižvalgom, kas mūsų laukia:
Ballymorgan Edition 1.1 – Tai pirmasis viskis iš šio ūkio. Miežiai užauginti Robert Milne. Tai vienas iš pirmaujančių ūkių, kurie užaugina išties labai kokybiškus miežius. Dirvožemis susideda iš molio ir priemolio.
Sheestown Edition 1.1 – Vėlgi, tai pirmasis salyklinis viskis iš šio ūkio. Miežiai užauginti šalia istorinio Kilkenny miesto. Ūkininkas Phil O’Brien. Vieta – labai gerai nusausintos žemumos. Dirvožemis – pagrinde kalkakmenis.
Bannow Island Edition 1.2 – Tai antrasis viskio leidimas iš šios žemės. 3 mėnesiais vyresnis už pirmojo leidimo viskį. Užaugintas Ed Harpur ūkyje. Vieta – Wexford, šalia Atlanto vandenyno. Druskingas vėjas atplūstantis iš Atlanto ir smėlėtas dirvožemis sukuria sunkias ir unikalias sąlygas.
Ballykilcavan Edition 1.2 – Tai taip pat antrasis viskis iš šio ūkio. 3 mėnesiais vyresnis už pirmąjį. Miežius augino David Walsh-Kemmis. Vieta – Į vakarus nuo Barrow in Co. Laois. Šie javų laukai yra apsupti senovinių miškų.
Visi šie viskiai išpilstyti 50% stiprumu. Nefiltruoti ir nedažyti. Kiekvieno leidimo tiražas yra 9300 butelių. Prekyboje nuo šių metų liepos pabaigos. Kaina apie 70 eurų. Taip pat pakuotė turės specialų lipduką, kurio pagalba gausite daugybę papildomos informacijas.

  • Caol Ila 9YO – išdistiliuotas 2010 metais, išpilstytas 2020, 59.7%, brandintas pakartotinio pildymo chereso statinėje (butt), 625 buteliai, statinės nr. 316658. Nefiltruotas ir nedažytas.
  • North British 28YO – išdistiliuotas 1991 metais, išpilstytas 2020, 47.4%, brandintas pakartotinio pildymo chereso bačkoje (butt), 283 buteliai, statinės nr. 262056. Nefiltruotas ir nedažytas. Single Grain viskis.
  • Bimber – išpilstytas 2020 metais, 51.8%, brandintas ex-burbono statinėse, 1948 buteliai. Nefiltruotas ir nedažytas.
  • Bimber – išpilstytas 2020 metais, 51.4%, brandintas pirmo pildymo burbono (barrels) ir oloroso chereso statinėse (butt), 950 butelių. Nefiltruotas ir nedažytas.
  • Koval Single Barrel – 40%, 100% rugių, brandintas naujoje išdegintoje amerikinio ąžuolo statinėje, statinės nr. 912AZ3. Nefiltruotas ir nedažytas.
  • Koval Single Barrel – 47%, kukurūzai ir sorai, statinės nr. NOZE6P43. Nefiltruotas ir nedažytas.

Ir keletas naujienų iš skrynios kurią puošia užrašas „Dar šiuo metu nepatvirtinta”. Compass Box Peat Monster Arcana yra išpilstyta 46% stiprumu ir dalinai brandintas prancūziško ąžuolo statinėse. Detali kompozicija susideda – 71% Talisker viskio brandinto refill Hogshead, 11% Miltonduff viskio brandinto pirmo pildymo burbono (barrel), 10% Peat Monster viskio brandinto perdarytose/stipriai degintose/pakartotinio pildymo prancūziško ąžuolo (barrel), 6% Ardbeg viskio brandinto degintose (barrel) ir 2% maišyto aukštumų viskio brandinto perdarytose/stipriai degintose prancūzisko ąžuolo (barrel) statinėse.

Benriach 25YO Four Cask Matured – kompozicija sudaryta iš burbono, chereso, madeiros ir naujo ąžuolo statinių. 46% stiprumas ir „mellow” lygio durpės intensyvumas. Šią keturių statinių kompoziciją taip pat naudos nauji 21YO ir 30YO metų salykliniai viskiai. Jie taip pat bus kurti naudojant durpintą salyklą.
BenRiach Smoke Season – kompozicija kurta iš burbono ir naujo ąžuolo degintų statinių. Intensyvus durpės lygis ir 52.8% stiprumas. Be amžiaus nuorodos.
