Sveiki gyvi. Kaip jau supratote, šiandien ragausim viskius ir bandysim ieškoti šventojo gralio. O jei rimčiau, tai šiandien Glen Scotia laikas. Tarp Campbeltown distilerijų, ši dažniausiai būna ne visai tinkamai vertinama. Aš ir pats prisipažįstu, kad šios distilerijos viskiai retai randa kelią ant mano stalo. Paskutinį kartą oficialūs leidimai buvo ragauti, kai ant etikečių puikavosi karvutės.
Tad žinote, geriau vieną kartą paragauti, nei šimtus kartus skaityti.

Įdomus priminimas, kad iki 2011 metų distilerija naudojo Worm Tub agregatą. Tad šis viskis turėtų būti iš tų atsargų, kur vis dar naudojo šį įrenginį. Įdomu būtų išgirsti visą istoriją, kodėl atsisakė šio reikalo. Be tokių pasiaiškinimų, kad neapsimoka ir panašiai. Nosis. Šviežias, gyvas, pakankamai intensyvus, švarus, su nedidelėmis užuomenomis į kažkokį sunkumą ar tai nešvarumą. Viskas gerai, judam toliau. Beabejo, jaučiasi lengvas dūmiškumas. Maloniai primindamas Springbank 10YO viskį. Kas mano atžvilgiu yra tikrai gerai. Daržoviškumas skleidžiasi per dūmiškumo prizmę. Toliau seka medžio anglis, vanilinis cukrus, sodo vaisiai, kepti zefyrai, pipirai, citrusų žievės, šviežiai pjauta žolė. Turi tą smagų pakrantės ir druskos pusę. Momentais kompostas ir gėliškumas lenda. Tiesą pasakius, išties įdomus ir universalus viskis. Kaip skonis? Čia taip pat labai neblogas intensyvumas. Nemažai mėsos prieskonių. Vėlgi, viskis įdomus. Pradžioje šviežias ir švarus, bet po kurio laiko truputį vis sunkėja. I like it. Yra ir jūriška pusė ir vaisinė pusė. Jodo druska, ąžuolo aitrumas, lengvas dūmiškumas. Žoliškas ir labai prieskoningas. Lengvai aliejingas ir su čili pipiriuko intensyvumu. Poskonis. Jodas. Vidutinio ilgumo. Žoliškas, šildantis, lengvai kartokas, su salyklo salstelėjimu. Mano trys centai. Įvertinant, kad tai yra 35 eurus kainuojantis viskis, mano supratimu, jie tai atliko labai labai gerai. 86 taškai. P. S. gaila, kad nėra šalia SB10…

Glen Scotia distilerija dabar naudoja salyklą, kuris yra „ipytintas” tarp 15 – 30 PPM. Įtariu, kad tai neliečia šio leidimo. Bet aš tuoj pabandysiu apibūdinti. Beje, viskis 24 metus brandinosi pakartotinio pildymo statinėse ir vienerius metus pirmo pildymo. Nosis. Štai apie ką aš ir kalbėjau. Ryškus, aliejingas, intensyviai elegantiškas ir su charakteriu. Linų sėmenų aliejus, rūgštūs citrusai, pipirmėtė, parafinas, šviežia žolė, mėsos prieskoniai, laikraščiai, tabakas ir medžio dulkės. Taip pat turi medicininę ar tai jūrišką pusę. Ir labai didelę egzotinių vaisių pusę. Kalnas mangų, bananų, kivių ir melionų. Išties sudėtinga ir kompleksiška nosis. Skonis. Aha, vėlgi linų sėmenų aliejus, gal net ir saulėgrąžų. Intensyvus, aštrus ir vaisiškai rūgštus. Taip pat turi didelę ąžuolo pusę su vanilės, karamelės ir kokoso užuomenomis. Daug aštrių prieskonių. Momentais tarsi seno rūsio skonis burnoje. Pridėčiau dar parafiną, juoduosius pipirus, tamsų medų, pelenus, sakus…ir grapą. Taip, taip. Medžio ir citrusų kartumas. Jaumas, kaip ragaučiau perbrendusi 35 – 40 metų viskį. O jei būtų turėjęs tą pačią vaisių pusę kaip kvapas…Tada būtų jei…Poskonis. Kartus, rūgštokas ir ilgas. Momentais pasirodo salyklas ir žoliškumas. Mano trys centai. Vien tik nosis verta 90. Bet taip dažnai nutinka, kad nosis – dangus, o skonis kažkur šiek tiek šlubuoja. Nežinau ar tai 1 metų pirmo pildymo statinių nuopelnas, bet jei taip, tai buvo klaida. Ar tai tiesiog bandymas užmaskuoti kai kuriuos 24 metų „nuopelnus”? 88 taškai.

Kaip bebūtų, bet šie viskiai man neprimena karvučių laikų. Tie viskiai išties buvo sunkokai ragaujami. Asmeninė nuomonė. Beje, tai nebuvo taip senai.
