Keletas istorijos faktų. Ar žinojote, kad 1965 metais Royal Brackla neteko nuosavo floor maltings, arba, kad nuo 1985 iki 1991 metų distilerija buvo uždaryta?
Užbėgsiu už akių ir pasakysiu, kad šiandien tikrai neapžvelginėsiu jokios Royal Brackla’os, kuri buvo distiliuota iki 1965 metų :D. Tad, važiuojam!

Royal Brackla 12YO, 40%, 2015, OB
Nosis. Riešutų sviestas, saulėgrąžų aliejus, laikraščiai. Be abejo, vaisių galerija, kaip melionas, obuolys, kriaušė. Panašu, kad kompozicijoje yra chereso statinių, nemažai ir džiovintų vaisių. Kepta žuvis, truputis citrusų, galbūt dar ir juodojo šokolado užuominų. Laikas taurėje išskiria zefyrus, raudonas uogas, salyklą ir truputi žoliškumo. Stebėtinai smagus, nors ir tik 40%. Skonis. Ei, gana aliejiškas, o žoliškumo daugiau nei nosyje. Labai salykliškas, duoniškas, vaisiškas. Išskirčiau mangus, granatus. Jaučiasi kartumas, truputis saldumo. Skonis gana blankokas ir vistik gana malonus. Poskonis. Trumpas, šildantis, su salyklo, džiovintų vaisių ir vanilės apraiškomis. Mano trys centai. Nieko įspūdingo, bet gana tvarkingas viskiokas. 80 akių

Royal Brackla 16YO, 40%, Pirmo Pildymo Oloroso Chereso Statinės, 2015, OB
Nosis. Primena dvyliktuką, bet čia daugiau citrusų, vaisių ir salyklo. Neliko saulėgrąžų aliejaus, bet atsirado įvairios žolelės, aitrūs prieskoniai, obuoliai, bananai ir labai menka užuomina į apynius. Skonis. Saldesnis nei dvylikos metų. Jaučiu ledinukus, apynius, meduolių prieskonius, kruasanus, kriaušes. Skonis sausas, žoliškas, salykliškas. Praėjus šiek tiek laiko, atsiskleidė karčiojo šokolado ir citrusų natos. Poskonis. Ilgesnis, aštresnis, saldesnis nei dvyliktuko, su citrusų natomis. Mano trys centai. Gana didelis žingsnis į priekį nuo dvylikos. 83 akys

Royal Brackla 21YO, 40%, 2015, OB
Nosis. Kartonas, seni laikraščiai, biblioteka, ąžuolas, medžio lakas. Kvapas keistas, bet tuo pačiu įdomus ir smagus. Tęsiam… citrusų rūgštelė, šiltas sviestas, juodoji arbata, gėliškumas ir vėlgi žoliškumas. Kažkur tolumoje sviestiniai sausainiai. Kvapas gyvas, smagus, turintis ką pasakyti, kai šitaip buvo pasielgta (juk 40%). Skonis. Džiovinti vaisiai, alyvuogės, šiltas sviestas, sviestiniai sausainiai. Taip pat salyklas gana prieskoningas… cinamonas, anyžius, vanilė, kakava ir karamelė. Stebėtinai gyvybingas, aliejingas ir su charakteriu. Nors visgi skonis šešioliktuko labiau kabino, o nosis atvirkščiai. Poskonis. Medus, riešutai, razinos, galbūt kartusis šokoladas. Vidutinio ilgumo. Mano trys centai. Per plauko storį šitą kovą tarp 16 ir 21, visgi laimėjo vyresnėlis, nors kainos ir kokybės atžvilgiu rinkčiausi šešioliktuka. 84 akys

Royal Brackla 18YO, 1997/2016, 54.4% Cadenheads, Small Batch, 2 burbono statinės (hogsheads), 402 buteliai, NCF/NCA/CS
Nosis. Gyva, ekspresyvi, įžūli, aštri ir truputi pjaunanti, bet tuo pačiu labai gaivi, ar netgi šaldanti. Lendam giliau… pipiras, čili pipiras, kamparas ir mėsos prieskoniai. Taip pat seka iš paskos vaisiai, salyklas, vanilė, ąžuolas, pjuvenos, balta duona, laukuose nokstantys grūdai, citrusai. Skonis. Taip pat labai gyvas, ekspresyvus, bet kiek labiau civilizuotas. Burnoje sausumas, aliejiškumas, truputis medžio kartumo ir salyklo saldumo. Žoliškas, bet neperspaustas. Citrusai, vanilė, karamelė, kadagys, egzotiniai vaisiai, kaip melionas, bananas ir mangas. Skonis labai švarus, o balansas savo vietoje. Vanduo atpalaiduoja daugiau saldumo, salyklo, sausumo ir nemenką dilgčiojimą burnoje. Poskonis. Ilgas, citrusinis, ąžuoliškas ir stipriai šildantis. Mano trys centai. Gal ir nėra pats kompleksiškiausias salyklinis viskis, bet yra sudėtingas, komplikuotas ir labai labai vertas detalesnio patyrinėjimo. Beje labai geras plaukikas, jeigu norit draugo duokit laiko ir vandens ir atvirkščiai. 87 akys
