Sveiki. Turbūt supratot, kad šiandien pas mus Highland Park salykliniai viskiai. Galbūt šiek tiek gaila, bet šiandien tik oficialūs leidimai iš distilerijos.
Kita garsi distilerija yra Scapa, bet šie viskiai yra labai retai sutinkami tarp nepriklausomų, nors pati distilerija turi keletą oficialių leidimų. Bet šiandien ne apie tai. Highland Park distilerija įkurta 1798 metais. Gamina lengvai „pytintą” salyklinį viskį, nors kartais pasitaiko ir gana stipriai durpintų versijų. Beje, didžiausias skirtumas nuo Ailos durpių yra tai , kad Orkney salų durpės degdamos skleidžia didesnę kaitrą ir dega švariau. 1986 metais atidarė distilerijos lankytojų centrą ir yra vis dar išsaugojusi „floor malting” procesą. Gal pagaliau grįšim prie realybės… Bet, kol to nėra, mes ragaujam ir netgi kartais mėgaujamės. Nosis. Ei, čia įdomu. Pirmas kvapas priminė tarsi uostyčiau lengvesnės versijos Lagavulin. O čia jau yra komplimentas. Saldi durpė, jūriškumas, druska, jodas ir vaisių saldumas. Momentais sėlenos, linų sėmenų aliejus, cinamonas, degtukai ir žolelės. Kažkur toli pasirodo kartonas. Durpintas vanduo. Išties noriu paragauti. Skonis. Aha, Chereso čia beveik nejaučiama. Tai reiškia – daugiau pačio HP charakterio ir tai man patinka. Viskis švarus, gilus ir norisi čepsėti. 46.8% ir tai jaučiasi, kūnas sunkesnis, klampesnis. Vėlgi, čia randu saldžios durpės, salyklo ir vaisių. O viską pratęsčiau su druska, kepintais lazdyno riešutais, vaistais, citrusų žievelės aitrumu ir rūkyta paprika. Momentais lenda siera ir medis, bet tai nėra didelė bėda, durpiškumas tai greitai užgniaužia ir užrakina. Gana daug durpės turintis skonis. Niekaip nepalyginsi su Varnu. Poskonis. Šiltas, ilgas, malonus, durpiškas, labai švarus, su lengvu dilgčiojimu. Mano trys centai. Amžiaus prasme įtarčiau, kad ne per daug pasistūmėjome į priekį, bet receptas tikrai kitoks ir tai puikiai veikia, bent man. 85 taškai.

Bet žinant, kad šiuolaikiniame viskio pasaulyje yra striuka su chereso statinėmis, šis leidimas yra labai puikiai suprantamas. Tad žiūrim, ar jis galės kažką pastatyti prieš „Valknut”? Nosis. Oi, labai švarus, giedras, aromatingas ir gėliškas. Bet įdomiausia, kad čia randu tropinių vaisių ir durpių samplaiką. Mangas, melionas, kivis, bananas, ir jiems dar į pagalbą ateina sodo vaisiai. Durpiškumas mažesnis nei Valknut, bet kvapas kompleksiškesnis. Dar norėčiau pridėti ramunėlių arbatą, tamsų medų, šiltą sviestą, alyvuoges, citrusus, vanilę, karamelę… ir tai būtų dar ne viskas. Kvapas išties kompleksiškas, gyvas, atakuojantis ir saldus. Skonis. Tik nesusimauk. Intensyvus, aliejiškas, atakuojantis, švarus, aštrus, kaip koks japoniškas peilis. Kas toliau? Malonūs saldžios durpės atgarsiai vėl groja su tropiniais vaisiais. Norėčiau pridėti dar tabako, citrusų, druskos, jodo, tamsaus medaus, kokosų ir čiobrelių natas. Poskonis. Malonus, šaldantis, su šiek tiek mėtos, citrusų ir durpių natomis. Mano trys centai. Va čia tikrai buvo „Full Volume” ir ne kitaip. Ir grojo tikrai ne „popsucha”. Tiesą pasakius ėjau link 88, bet poskonis tikrai uždėjo riebų tašką. Taigi, 89 taškai.

Noriu truputi pratęsti apie „Full Volume”. Jei kas galvojat įsigyti šį viskį, tikrai pirkite, net jei ir nėra chereso šiame visky. Juk oficiali 18YO versija kainuoja 20 – 30 eurų daugiau, o šis tikrai ne blogesnis, gal net statyčiau aukščiau. Tad likite sveiki ir stiprūs. Iki kitų susiragavimų.
