Pora Glenrothes salyklinių viskių iš mažai žinomos kompanijos The Shining Dram. Bandysim šiek tiek palyginti amžiaus skirtumus, viskio kompanijos uosles/receptorius…cha cha. Taigi mažiau kalbų, daugiau viskio reikalų.

Nosis. Gerai, įdomu. Jaunas, „žalias”, ganėtinai švarus, truputi pjaunantis nosį. Vynuogės, slyvos, razinos, medus, vaškas. Kartkartėmis atrodo, kad iš kažkur išlenda jūriškumas. Momentais pagalvodavau apie Clynelish. Pradžioje, tik įpylus į taurę, lindo spirito charakteris, tai yra truputi „miškų uogos” kvapo padavė, bet per 20 – 30 minučių oras puikiai viską sutvarkė ir dar į pagalbą chereso statinė atėjo. Ir visą šį laiką masčiau apie statinę. Manyčiau, tai tikrai ne pirmo pildymo statinė ir netgi ne PX, ar Oloroso statinė. Galbūt Fino, ar Manzanilla. Skonis. Aha, čia distiliatas kalba garsiau ir nepasakyčiau, kad aš labai tuo mėgaujuosi. Bet iš kitos pusės skonis ganėtinai švarus, gaivinantis, šaldantis, jūriškas. Skonyje mažiau chereso užuomazgų, bet tikrai galima jausti riešutų, apelsinų, citrusų žievelių kartumo, mėtos, juodos arbatos, džiovintų vaisių. Taip pat, truputi jaučiasi žoliškumas, prieskoniškumas. Poskonis. Malonus, šaldantis, su citrusų žievelių apraiškomis. Poskonis trumpas. Mano trys centai. Ganėtinai įdomus ir solidus Glenrothes su keletą įdomių nukrypimų. Iš kitos pusės, dar tiek pat metų statinėje ir viskis tiesiog žibėtų. 83 akys

Dvigubai daugiau amžiaus ir kitokio stiliaus statinė. Keliaujam. Nosis. Aha, egzotiniai vaisiai, kokosai, salyklo saldumas, šiek tiek medžio. Prieskoniai irgi nesnaudžia ir prideda savo charakterio. Bazilikas, čiobrelis, pelynas, vanilinis cukrus, rozmarinas.Nosis labai ekspresyvi, gyva, ganėtinai aitri/aštri, gaivinanti – man patinka. Pridėčiau, kad nosis kompleksiška, gili, besikeičianti ir vis pasiūlanti naujų kvapų paletę. Super, įdomu, užskaitau. Skonis. Pasitinka su vaisių ir salyklo saldumu. Kvape beveik nebuvo medžio, o čia jisai kalba garsiau. Vanilė, karamelė, cinamonas yra persipynę su įvairiais vaisiais kaip melionas, obuolys, kriaušė. Labai žoliškas. Pats skonis švarus, gaivinantis, gana kompleksiškas. Kažkiek ąžuolo kartumas kiša koją, bet dėl to nedaryčiau didžiulės problemos.
Poskonis. Vidutinio ilgumo, žoliškas, su vaisių saldumu. Mano trys centai. Jaučiasi, kad šiuo atveju, amžius duoda savo. Visi skoniai ir kvapai puikiai susigulėję, radę savo vietas. Šis viskis nėra nuobodus, gyvas ir dinamiškas, pasiūlantis plačią kvapų ir skonių paletę. 87 akys

Apibendrinant, norėčiau pasakyti, kad viskiai turi panašias šaknis. Amžiaus skirtumas ir skirtingos statinės duoda savo šarmo ir išskirtinumo abiems viskiams. Taip pat amžiaus skirtumas labai jaučiasi tuom, kad vyresniame viskyje visiškai nebelikę „blogojo” distiliato charakterio, o kvapai ir skoniai tarsi išgryninti.
