Sveiki. Už lango po truputį įsibėgėja pavasaris, tad pasirinkau Glencadam distileriją, kuri visai turėtų atitikti nuotaikas. Kitas labai keistas ir neįtikėtinas (man) dalykas, kad dar šiuose namuose nebuvo prisiliesta prie šios distilerijos. Nieko nelaukiam ir taisom šią grubią klaidą.

Ar žinojote, kad šios distilerijos sandėliai antro pasaulinio karo metu tarnavo kaip kareivių gyvenamosios patalpos? Dar iki šiol yra išlikę to meto gyventojų žymių. Nosis. Aromatinga, gaivi, pilna, gal net kiek rūsti. Taip pat primena įvairius žalius vaisius kaip obuolius, kriaušes, bananus. Prie šios puokštės dar prisideda arbatžolės, šviesus medus, liepos žiedai, baltas stalo vynas, apyniai. Negaliu nepaminėti salyklo, kepėjo parduotuvės ir lengvo minerališkumo. H2O. Atsiranda saldumas, medus ir ąžuolas. Kvapnesnis, malonesnis ir saldesnis. Skonis. Pilnas, kartus, rūgštus, apveliantis burną ir truputį besikandžiojantis. Salyklo ir sodo vaisių saldumas, pelynas, citrusų žievelės, greipfrutai, vanilė ir truputis karamelės. Taip pat išskirčiau, kad turintis gana didelę prieskoningumo pusę, kuri sukuria aitrumo pojūtį. H2O. Gal truputį prarandamas kūnas su keliais lašais vandens, bet to pasekoje sumažėja prieskoningas kartumas ir labiau išryškėja citrusai. Poskonis. Vidutinio ilgumo. Na, žiūrim, ką gali pridėti papildomi 5 metai ir taip jau pakankamai įdomiam dešimtukui. Nosis. Taip, kvapas išties skirtingas. Stipresnis, pilnesnis ir sunkesnis. Pasitinka daugiau ąžuolo natų, kurios truputį primena sakus, laką ir saulėgrąžų aliejų (nerafinuotą). Taip pat yra įvairių sodo vaisių, ką tik nupjautos vejos, citrusų, vanilės, tamsaus medaus, šviežių bandelių, muskato riešuto ir imbiero. H2O. Fermentuoti vaisiai. Atsiranda gėliškumas ir mentolis. Susidaro įspūdis, kad vanduo sukuria didesnį gaivos jausmą. Skonis. Čia taip pat pasitinka daugiau brandos, daugiau ąžuolo ir daugiau mėsos prieskonių. Truputį kartokas ir šiek tiek aštrus. Kas dar? Neramino ąžuolo kiekis, kuris jau čia bandė mano kantrybę. 85 taškai. Ei, ir šio kaina nėra prasta!

Panašu, kad metam bėgant skaičiukai auga kaip ant mielių. Tikiuosi tik vieno, kad neprimaišė čia labai aktyvių statinių, nes jau 15YO versija buvo ąžuoliška. Nosis. O taip. Mažiau ąžuolo, bet daugiau kompleksiškumo, gilumo. Gaivus, labai kvapnus, pilnas, susigulėjęs ir švarus. Nuo ko čia pradėti? Ką tik nukulti grūdai, bandelės, citrinos, žali obuoliai, žoliškumas, kriaušės, spygliuočių sakai ir miltai. Laikui bėgant pasirodo gėliškumas, tropiniai vaisiai, minerališkumas, imbieras ir meduolis. Chereso labai mažai, kuris čia atlieka trečiaeilį vaidmenį ir aš nieko prieš. H2O. Kaip keli lašai vandens puikiai atveria šį viskį. Visi kvapai sustiprėja ir vis tiek nė vienas nesugeba dominuoti. Harmonija. Skonis. Gerokai ramesnis nei prieš tai du buvę, bet tuo pačiu atsineša didesnį gylį, kompleksiškumą ir tirštesnį kūną. Arbatžolės, greipfruitai, juoda duona, pipirmetė, sūdyta karamelė, žoliškumas, grūdai, ąžuolo taninai ir truputis tropinių vaisių. Vidutiniškai sausas ir saldus. Vėlgi turintis minerališkumo. H2O. Parafinas ir medus. Momentais primenantis Clynelish salyklus. Poskonis. Vidutinio ilgumo. Truputį prieskoningas ir sausokas. Arbatžolės, vaškas, salyklas. Mano trys centai. Kažkada pirmas šio viskio butelis buvo pirktas už 5 ar 6 dešimtines. Neįtikėtina, bet taip buvo. O ir nuo to laiko viskis kokybės prasme nelabai pasikeitęs. Aukštumoje. 88 taškai. P. S. Įdomu, jei kompozicijoje būtų panaudota šiek tiek daugiau chereso statinių?

Kuo norėčiau pasidžiaugti, kad netgi 10YO versija yra nefiltruota, nedažyta ir išpilstyta 46% stiprumu. Viskas aiškiai nurodyta ir be jokių žaidimų. Pačių viskių stilius ne visiems bus tinkamas ar mėgstamas, bet ką labai vertinu, kad distilerija turi savo braižą. Distiliatas pas juos, panašu, taip pat yra aukštumoje.
Grįžtant prie pradinės temos, salyklai ne visai pavasariški, gal labiau vasariški. Bet koks gi skirtumas metų laikuose, kai viskis yra geras ir turintis savo parašą.
