Pradėkime naujienas nuo Bowmore. Praėjus trims metams distilerija Bowmore mums rodo antrą leidimą iš „Vault Edition” serijos. Pirmasis leidimas buvo skirtas „Atlantic sea salt” skoniui ir kvapui, o šis antrasis „Peat smoke”. Ką dar žinome? Supilstytas 50.1% stiprumu. Kaina apie 70 eurų. Beabejo, kaip ir pirmasis leidimas, taip ir šis, išskirtinai brandinosi seniausiose Bowmore sandėliuose, esančiuose žemiau jūros lygio, No. 1 Vaults.
Apie statines nieko negirdėti, bet panašu, kad šis leidimas į kompoziciją gavo nemažai chereso statinių. Beje, pirmasis leidimas buvo išskirtinai brandintas ex-burbono statinėse.

Dūmojimas vyksta toliau. Kažkada aprašinėti nepatvirtintose naujienose. Šįkart oficialiai. Distilerija Bruichladdich mums „atveža” jau dešimtą Octomore linijos leidimą. Taigi, nieko nelaukiam ir lendam giliau. Kas tai per žvėrys?

Octomore 10.4
– 100% škotiški miežiai (Concerto)
– 2015 m. derlius, išdistiliuoti 2016 m.
– Brandintas 3 metus Ailos saloje
– 100% brandintas naujose prancūziško ąžuolo statinėse (Virgin)
– 88 PPM / 63.5% / Nuo kitų metų sausio mėnesio

Kaip matome šiais metais PPM skaičiukai gerokai mažesni. Kiek tekę domėtis, tai Bruichladdich daugiau nebesieks stebinti PPM skaičiais. Kas dar įdomu, kad 10.4 versija labai jauna ir siekia tik 3 metus, plius tik naujos ąžuolo statinės.

Bruichladdich distilerija nerimsta ir rodo dar vieną salyklinį viskį, Bruichladdich Black Art 7.1 . Distiliuotas 1994 metais, brandintas ištisus 25 metus. Kas toliau? Distiliuotas, brandintas ir išpilstytas Ailos saloje. 12000 butelių tiražas, 48.4% stiprumas, nefiltruotas ir nedažytas. Beje, distiliatas buvo distiliuojamas labai lėtai. Kiek lėtai? Statinių kompozicija taip pat nėra žinoma. Kaina apie 300 eurų.
Kaip bebūtų gaila, kaina visai nedraugiška. Gal kas pavyzduką?

O, kviečiai, Woodford Reserve Wheat. Kvietinis viskis? Kodėl gi ne. Taigi, kompozicija – 52% kviečių, 20% malti miežiai, 20% kukurūzai ir 8% rugiai. Išpilstytas 45.2% stiprumu. Kaina apie 40 eurų.
Tikrai nesu ragavęs kvietinio viskio, bet šitas nuoširdžiai sudomino, o ir kaina puiki.

Ir dar viena naujiena, kuri buvo aprašinėta, kaip nepatvirtinta, bet šįkart jau oficialiai. Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 6 kompozicija yra sukurta iš 21 statinės. Gilinamės toliau. Statinių kompoziciją sudaro: pakartotinio pildymo chereso, ex-burbono ir Balvenie double wood chereso statinės. Visos šitos statinės „sutuoktos” vienoje Tun 1509 statinėje, 3 mėnesius. Išpilstytas 50.4% stiprumu. Kaina apie 300 eurų.
Ir vėl tie nelemti 300 eurų, kad juos peklan. Ką darom?

Ir paskutinė naujiena. Whiskybase svetainė švenčia 130000 skirtingų viskių, kurie įkelti ir aprašyti šioje svetainėje. Šiai progai whiskybase rodo mums riboto leidimo Secret Orkney 21YO. Distiliuotas 1998 metais, o išpilstytas 2019. Brandintas 21 metus hogshead statinėje, supilstytas 53.9% stiprumu. Tiražas 318 butelių, o kaina 120 eurų.
Net neįdomu spėti kas tai per distilerija. O galėtų būti Scap…
