Sveiki. Balblair seka Glenrothes pavyzdžiu ir naikina savo ‘vintage’ serijas. Metų žyma niekur nedingo, bet brandinimosi laikas labai tiksliai išreikštas metų skaičiumi. Beje Balblair nėra, nei pirma, nei antra distilerija, kuri atnaujina savo ‘core range’ viskius. Tą jau yra padariusios tokios distilerijos, kaip Glenrothes, Mortlach, Glenallachie, Old Pulteney ir numanau, kad greitu metu dar bus naujų narių šiame sąraše. Taigi, viskiai iš Balblair:
Balblair 12YO. Brandintas amerikinio ąžuolo ex-bourbon statinėse ir dvigubo skrudinimo amerikinio ąžuolo statinėse(virgin?). 46 abv stiprumo, nefiltruotas, nedažytas. Kaina apie 55 eurus.
Balblair 15YO. Brandintas amerikinio ąžuolo ex-bourbon statinėse ir po to europinio ąžuolo pirmo pildymo chereso statinėse(butts). Dvigubas brandinimas(double matured) ar tiesiog užbaigimas(finish)? 46 abv stiprumo, nedažytas, nefiltruotas. Kaina apie 90 eurų.
Balblair 18YO. Vėlgi brandintas amerikinio ąžuolo ex-bourbon statinėse, o po to europinio ąžuolo pirmo pildymo chereso statinėse(butts). Dvigubas brandinimas, ar užbaigimas? 46 abv stiprumo, nefiltruotas, nedažytas. Kaina apie 140 eurų.
Ir vyšnelė ant torto, Balblair 25YO. Brandintas amerikinio ąžuolo ex-bourbon statinėse ir europinio ąžuolo chereso statinėse(hogsheads, butts, refill, first fill?). Dvigubas brandinimas, ar užbaigimas? 46 abv stiprumo, nefiltruotas ir nedažytas. Kaina apie 600 euru…
Nežinau, kaip jūs, bet aš keliauju į internetą ir dar bandysiu pasigriebti kažką iš ’90, ’91 vintage serijos, nes naujos serijos kainos išaugo apie du kartus(18YO), ar net keturis kartus(25YO). O šiuo atveju belieka tik viltis, kad skystis viduje nesuprastėjęs, o gal netgi geresnis.
