Sveiki. Turbūt, kai kurie jau supratote, kad keliamės į Vokietiją. Tiksliau kalbant, tai būtų Bavarija – su savo įspūdingais kalnų ir ežerų peizažais. Bet šiandien net ne apie alų, kuriuo šis kraštas garsėja. Taigi, Slyrs distilerija. Distilerijos pavadinimas turi airių – škotų (gėlų) šaknis. 779 metais 5 vienuoliai iš šių kraštų įkūrė Slyrs vienuolyną. Pirmasis Slyrs viskio distiliatas išdistiliuotas 1999 metais. Istorija yra įdomu, bet mes čia ne dėl to susirinkom. Ne?

Slyrs Alpine Herbs, 30%, 2020
Bet pirmiausia aperityvas prieš rimtesnius reikalus. Beabejo, žolelės buvo surinktos iš aplinkinių Bavarijos alpių regionų. Pirmiausia žolelės maceruotos, paskui vyko distiliacija ir galutinis žingsnis – brandintos kartų su salykliniu distiliatu. Nosis. Gaivi, švari, neperspausta ir vidutiniškai saldi. Kvapai sukasi apie čiobrelius, medų ir pelynus. Momentais primena braškių uogienę užteptą ant juodos duonos. Beabejo, čia žolelės dominuoja, kartais truputį primindamos muiliškumą. Skonis. Saldumo kiekis pagautas labai reikiamoje vietoje. Neperspausta. Pradžioje saldumas daugiau mažiau paima viršų, bet su kiekviena sekunde didėja žolelių charakteris, o saldumas vis mažėja. Balansas man patinka. Vėlgi, medus, pelynas ir čiobreliai. Truputis citrusų žievelių, karameliškas saldumas ir lengvas pipiriškas aitrumas. Poskonis. Stiprėjantis žolelių charakteris. Mano trys centai. Nieko, kas pakeistų mano pasaulį, bet iš esmės atidirba savo darbą. Neperspausta su saldumu nei kvape, nei skonyje. Žolelės neužgožtos. Skonis greitai apleidžia skonio receptorius.

Slyrs Port Cask, 46%, finišuotas Port vyno statinėse (pipe), NCF/NCA, 2020
Viskio amžius siekia apie 4 metus. Pirmiausia brandintas šviežio ąžuolo statinėse, o finišas truko iki 9 mėnesių Port vyno bačkose. Nosis. Vidutinio stiprumo, maloni ir ąžuoliška. Daug vanilės iš naujų statinių. Po kurio laiko taurėje šį kvapą bando užgožti raudonų uogų kvapai. Braškės ir avietės. Kartas nuo karto galima pagauti žoliškumą ir alkoholiškumą. Medžio anglis. Kas labiausiai trikdo, kažkoks rūgštus rūgimo kvapas. H2O. Atsirado daržoviškumas nors kiti kvapai žymiai susilpnėjo. Rūgštus rūgimas virto į citrusinį rūgštų koncentratą. Skonis. Jaunas, kartus ir dar labai nesubrendęs. Kvape dar toleruotinas kiekis ąžuolo, skonyje truputį virto į malką. Sausokas ir taniniškas. Kūnas liesas. Gana daug vanilės. Skonyje taip pat kažkoks rūgimo produktas. H2O. Lyg iš kažkur atsirideno raudonų uogų, bet taip nežymiai. Poskonis. Silpnas ir medinis, kuriame šiek tiek labiau jaučiasi raudonos uogos. Mano trys centai. Kvapas dar, dar, bet skonis…neturiu ką labai pasakyti. Ant etiketės aiškiai parašyta 46%, bet (ypač skonyje) vis pagalvodavau, kad kartais kiti 40% viskiai labiau pasireiškia nei šis. 75 taškai.

Slyrs Oloroso Cask, 46%, finišuotas Oloroso vyno statinėse, NCF/NCA, 2020
Ta pati kompozicija. Pirmiausia brandintas naujose ąžuolo statinėse. Finišuotas taip pat iki 9 mėnesių Oloroso bačkose. Nosis. Šviežias, gaivus, aitrus ir prieskoningas. Truputis džiovintų vaisių, kurie pinasi su citrusų rūgštimi. Prie šių kvapų prisideda šviežias ąžuolas, baltas šokoladas, kokosas ir daržoviškumas (česnakų laiškai?). Momentais sieros kvapo apraiškos. H2O. Medžio anglis. Sausesnis ir malonesnis. Daugiau džiovintų vaisių. Skonis. Kūnas liesas, jaunas, žalias, šiek tiek sūrus, stipriai ąžuoliškas ir sausas. Kažkur džiovinti vaisiai, žoliškumas, prieskoningumas. Lengvas dilgčiojimas burnoje, alkoholiškumas. Pagaliau 46% stiprumas kažką rodo. H2O. Ok, panašu, kad vanduo padeda kažkiek subalansuoti medžio kiekį. Poskonis. Kažkur tarp vidutinio ir silpno. Šildantis, prieskoningas ir aitrus. Mano trys centai. Malonesnis ir šiek tiek piktesnis. Pagaliau, tie 46% stiprumas suteikė bent jau kažkokio charakterio. Nežinau nuo ko pradėti. Statinės stipriai pavargusios ir toli gražu ne pačios kokybiškiausios. Kūnas liesas, nors nenaudota šaltoji filtracija. Rūgštaus rūgimo neradau, bet šįkart atsirado siera, kas irgi nėra geras ženklas. 77 taškai.

Slyrs Marsala Cask, 46%, finišuotas Marsala vyno statinėse, NCF/NCA, 2020
Klasikinė kompozicija – apie tris metus naujame ąžuole. Likęs laikas Marsala statinėse Superiore DOC. Bet vėlgi nežinome: ar tai buvo sausa, ar saldi Marsala. Gal pats viskis sugebės pasakyti? Nosis. Ąžuoliška, truputį saldi, aitroka ir sausa. Kas toliau? Šviesus medus, liepžiedžių arbata, česnakų laiškai, kriaušės, obuoliai ir truputis šviežių grūdų. Grįžta mano „mėgstama” rūgštaus rūgimo nata. Įdomiausia, kad ji tai dingsta, tai tvoksteli atgal. H2O. Medžio anglis. Malonesnis ir pilnesnis. Atsiranda džiovinti vaisiai ir sodo vaisių džemas. Skonis. Atrodo daugiau kūno ir panašu, kad ąžuolas truputį geriau integruotas. Nesijaučia alkoholiškumo. Salykliškas ir truputį vaisiškai saldus. Dar pridėčiau šviesų medų, Raicilla ir kartumą. H2O. Nemanau, kad čia vanduo labai tinka. Gal tik keli lašai dėl geresnio balanso. Poskonis. Trumpas ir prieskoningas. Momentais rodosi citrusų džemas, vanilė ir baltas šokoladas. Mano trys centai. Problemos nesikeičia kaip ir pats viskis. Turbūt labiausiai patikęs salyklinis viskis iš šitų „finišų”, jei taip galima pasakyti. 77 taškai.

Slyrs 51, 51%, brandintas Chereso, Port ir Sauternes vyno statinėse, NCF/NCA, 2020
Ir šio vakaro vinis – 51% išpilstytas Slyrs salyklinis viskis. Rašo, kad statinės stiprumas, kuo aš abejoju. Apie amžių nieko neužsimenama, bet gal visgi vyresnis nei prieš tai buvę „finišai”? Nosis. Ok, tai jau geriau. Ryškiau jaučiasi įvairūs džiovinti vaisiai kaip obuoliai, slyvos, abrikosai. Ir tai yra malonu. Taip pat jaučiasi raudonų uogų džemas ir gėliškumas. Ąžuolo mažiau, nors vanilė ir karamelė mūsų neapleidžia. Mėsos prieskoniai, nauja oda, degintas medis, medus ir salyklas. H2O. Dar labiau išryškėja gėliškumas, vanilė ir džiovinti vaisiai. Skonis. Stiprus, sausas, gana tirštas ir prieskoningas. Čia mažiau įvairių džiovintų vaisių, bet pats salyklas atrodo labiau subrendęs ir išbaigtas. Gana kartus. Sodo vaisių saldumas, vanilė ir ąžuolas. H2O. Ąžuolas, mėsos prieskoniai, o 51% stiprumas pasislepia už jų. Poskonis. Vidutinio ilgumo. Kmynai, juodos duonos pluta ir ąžuolas. Mano trys centai. Geriausia dalis buvo kvapas, kuris iš tikrųjų parodė potencialą, nors skonis grąžino į realybę. Nemanau, kad šiame viskyje buvo naudotas finišavimas, man tai buvo labiau panašu į pilną brandą vyno statinėse. Statinės, panašu, kad taip pat buvo kokybiškesnės. O ir pats viskis atrodė vyresnis. Taigi, tai buvo iš tiesų šio vakaro vinis 😀 . 79 taškai.

Taigi, taip pradėjau pažintį su Slyrs distilerija. Beje, dar laukia ir antra dalis, kuri panašu bus ne mažiau šaunesnė. Laukiu su nekantrumu.
